In Acts 6 we’re told that the church was growing rapidly, which is always a reason to praise God. However, this rapid growth also brought problems. The church was growing at a rate that was outpacing the apostles' ability to tend to all of its needs which was causing division among the believers. In vv 2-6 we are told the solution to this problem. The apostles commission others within the local body to help fulfill the needs of the ministry. As a result the church resumed its rapid growth and many were added to the family of God (v7).
The church thrives when everyone identifies their giftings and place within.
