Paul warns believers against taking disputes with one another before unbelieving courts and encourages them to resolve conflicts within the church. He reminds them that their former sinful lifestyles no longer define them because they have been washed, sanctified, and justified through Jesus Christ. He also emphasizes the importance of sexual purity, teaching that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and belong to God.

Because we have been bought with a price, our lives are no longer our own to live however we please. Every decision we make, including how we treat others and honor God with our bodies, should reflect our new identity in Christ.
